CITY VIEW CHURCH - A CALL TO PRAYER

 

With grateful hearts, we give thanks to God for America, our home!

Yet these days, we are increasingly aware of our desperate need for God's help to intervene in matters beyond our control.

 

Click on the  DAILY PRAYER GUIDE  below for specific direction for each of the 30 days of prayer. 

 

DAYS 1-5: DISCERN - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." -Proverbs 3:5-6

 

DAYS 6-10: DEVELOP - "Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress" 1 Timothy 4:15

DAYS 11-15: DEFEND - "Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause." —Isaiah 1:17

 

DAYS 16-20: DECLARE - "…Rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you." —2 Corinthians 13:11

 

DAYS 21-25: DISCIPLE - "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." —John 13:34-35

 

DAYS 26-30: DEDICATE - "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." —Colossians 2:6-7

 

For the month of July we dedicate ourselves to being faithful in prayer for our nation. Whether it's 5 minutes, a full hour, or more, we encourage you to reserve time each day to offer focused, heartfelt prayer for our nation.
